The next Lucha Libre USA TV taping scheduled for next weekend has been canceled - or "rescheduled," according to the promotion.

Ticketholders to the next taping, "Border Brawl," scheduled for April 16 in Albuquerque, N.M. were informed they will receive a refund for tickets bought.

LLUSA issued a statement on their Facebook page saying, "Nothing has been cancelled but some shows are being rescheduled. We will be posting the new dates shortly along with other very exciting news!"

The next event is scheduled for April 30, but tickets are currently not available to be purchased.

LLUSA has held three tapings thus far in 2011 for a second season of the "Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors" series on MTV2. However, no announcement has been made on when or if the second season will air.

Caldwell's Analysis: It's worth noting today's news item that MTV has picked up a Spanish language version of TNA Impact. TNA's show will air on the MTV Tr3s channel in a Friday night timeslot, which is when the first season of Lucha Libre USA series on MTV2. It would seem unlikely MTV will air two wrestling shows on Friday nights, but LLUSA could be slotted elsewhere during the week. It remains to be seen if the two items are related and if LLUSA gets a second season on MTV.
