The Toronto Sun newspaper in Canada has published a detailed report on the extramarital affair former WWE & TNA wrestler Kip James (Monty Sopp) has engaged in with a Canadian woman.

The story goes that the 46-year-old Sopp began an affair with a 24-year-old woman named Deborah Simmons. Sopp's wife then found out about the affair, setting off a firestorm of back-and-forth voice mails between Sopp and Simmons.

The profanity-laced messages between Sopp and Simmons have made the Internet (they're available on YouTube), with Simmons claiming she's trying to break up the affair by agitating Sopp.

"I really don't have a full explanation for what I did. I just wanted out of the relationship," Simmons told the Sun on Thursday. "Really, the only way I could think of getting out was for him to hate me."

Apparently the relationship began in April 2009 when Sopp traveled to Winnipeg for a wrestling show. The Sun reports the affair began in March 2010 when Sopp began frequent tour-stops in the Winnipeg area for wrestling shows.

Sopp's wife claims Simmons is harassing them and seeking her "five minutes of fame." Simmons claims she isn't seeking attention or trying to blackmail the Sopp family. She added that she has "not received a dime for the story."
