Welcome to yet another Indy Report. As promised, if you haven't seen your favorite promotion highlighted in the last two Reports of the last week or so, you may want to check the news below, as there has been a remarkable amount of news and results as of late. With summer really starting to get going, promoters really are getting into their full summer schedules. Furthermore, with WWE currently being the only full-time national promotion, there are plenty of "big names" from the past to highlight shows, as evidenced yet again in this Report.

One of the major treats of the indies is to be taken back to great old memories of "wrestling the way it was" in a prior generation. Indy wrestling, despite its admitted shortcomings and flaws at times, has a very unique way of doing just that. For instance, as you'll see below, All Access Wrestling is advertising, for their August 17 card, two of Skandar Akbar's men in Devastation Inc. to wrestle. Certainly, hearing or seeing Skandar Akbar and Devastation Inc. can only conjure up images for fans in their mid-20's and older that grew up in the Midwest of late, great mid-80's AWA weekly television shows. Whether you were a fan in the 80's of the AWA, Mid-South, NWA, or WWF, there are some names below, and in most other Reports, that take you back to that great boom for wrestling.

Well, having walked briefly down a nostalgic path, and due to the frequency of the Reports as of late, I'm going to cut to the chafe – here is the news!:

RESULTS

NWA – ACW, 6/6, Green Bay WI
Culture Shock and Chris Jordan defeated Young Stars and John Johnston. In a Midwest X Title match, Austin Aries won an eight-way elimination. Supreme Lee Great defeated Chi Chi Cruz. In a Heritage Heavyweight Title match, Creed beat HWA Champion Middknight by DQ when PA State Commissioner Frank Talent ordered the match stopped (when Middknight entered barbed wire to the match). In a Heritage Tag Team Title match, The Brothers Of Pain beat The Well Hung Warriors to regain the titles. In a weird moment, The Brothers Of Pain threw the tag team belts down and left and thus, Frank Talent ordered the Championships declared vacant. Breaker Morant defeated Thrasher by DQ after Thrasher used the ring bell. In a Heritage Tri-State Title match, Champion Chris Hamrick beat Justice Pain to retain. Kaos beat Alter Boy Luke. In a 2-out of-3 falls match, Jerry "The King" Lawler and Bill "Superstar" Dundee defeated Tag Champions Shock and Awe (w/Jimmy Hart) after two falls, but the second was via DQ, thus Shock and Awe retained the titles.

North American Championship Wrestling, 6/7, Avery County High School - Newland NC [Attend.: 326]
The Natural Jesse Lee and Darrin Fate battled to a 10 minute time limit draw. The Black Angel and Tommy Gunn defeated Major Debeers & Pitbulldog Johnny Kidd. The Lost Souls defeated Mickey Richards & Sonny Landel. Beautiful Bobby Eaton (w/Big Tony Cicero) beat Big Bubba Jones when Cicero slipped Eaton a pair of brass knucks. Buff Bagwell and Ricky Morton defended their North American Tag Team Championships successfully against Killer Kyle and The Thriller Mike Hanson when they hit a double drop kick and pinned Hanson. The Profile Ric Stone (w/The Illustrious Perry James) defeated Big Wood The Lumberjack to retain the North American Heavyweight Championship when Stone used a heart punch. In a Battlecade 2003 match, 2 competitors chosen at random started the match and then every three minutes another competitor was randomly chosen and entered; Tommy Gunn won the match. NOTE: As a reminder (see June 11 Indy Report), NACW will be in Denver, NC at the East Lincoln High School Saturday night June 21st at 8pm.

All Access Wrestling 6/7, AAW Arena /The Robicheaux Center - Lafayette LA [est. gate: 900-plus]

Brique St. Pierre (w/Skandar Akbar) defeated David Young when Akbar interfered with a top rope maneuver attempt by Young.
