Other News: Paul Heyman claims musical artist Rihanna stole from the iconic ECW album cover Oct 23, 2009 - 1:45:40 PM
Former ECW owner Paul Heyman has received mainstream attention for claiming musical artist Rihanna stole from the ECW: Extreme Music album cover that features the iconic wrestling image of The Sandman wrapped in white barbed wire with his right arm extended in the air.
Rihanna's new album cover shows her wrapped in black barbed wire with her right arm also extended in the air. Sandman's arm was bent over his head on the ECW album cover while Rihanna's arm is extended straight up toward the sky.
Heyman was quoted in a story by flavorwire.com saying it's "pretty obvious" the album cover was "copied from" or at least "extremely inspired by" the ECW album cover. Judge for yourself below. [Image from flavorwire.com]
Caldwell's Analysis: I'm sorry, but I don't see it all. It's a real stretch for Heyman to draw this conclusion. In my view, DC Comics would be the offended party since it looks like Rihanna's album cover is "inspired" by the Catwoman character more than ECW's album cover.
