Other News: New poster released for "The Wrestler" movie, latest on Bruce Springsteen's involvement Nov 17, 2008 - 10:52:17 AM
- Bruce Springsteen's next album, "Working on a Dream" will hit store shelves on January 27 with a bonus track entitled "The Wrestler" that will accompany the theatrical release of the movie. Excerpts from Springsteen's album were played during last night's NFL game on NBC. Billboard.com article .
- With "The Wrestler" movie set to hit theaters during the holiday season in December, production company FOX Searchlight released a new poster that will be appearing outside of movie theaters in the coming weeks to promote the movie.
The poster captures the intensity of Mickey Rourke's lead character role with calloused hands, worn wrist tape, and dyed hair that shows he's holding onto the past. FOX also released some promotional photos that show Ring of Honor's logo in the background. To the casual eye, seeing the background advertisement for ROH's website could be intriguing enough to check out exactly what this is about. Slashfilm.com article.
