Torch Indy Weekend Preview: Steiner vs. Samoa Joe, Shelley & Sabin, Too Cold Scorpio in IWA

WEEKEND PREVIEW, NEWS & NOTES
The big shows this weekend are in the Chicago suburbs. IWA Mid-South has a triple-header of action lined up for the three days in Joliet, Ill., and all those lineups are posted below. Not far away, in Berwyn, Ill., AAW is featuring Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley. The current AAW lineup also is posted below.
Northeast Wrestling has a pair of HUGE shows this weekend. Saturday in Thiells, N.Y., NEW features Booker T vs. Joey Matthews, Samoa Joe vs. Xavier. On Sunday, Northeast Wrestling has Samoa Joe vs. Scott Steiner in Bloomfield, Conn.
The Planet Championship Wrestling slated for Sunday in Palmetto, Fla., has been CANCELED. The lineup had featured Andrew “Test” Martin, Konnan, King Haku, and Kevin Sullivan.
In other news…
Human Tornado, one of the most charismatic wrestlers and top high-flyers on the indy scene, will be out of action for quite a while after injuring his ACL and dislocating a kneecap on April 25 at a show in Springfield, Ill. He apparently landed wrong after flipping off the top rope.
ROH has brought back its “buy three, get one free” sale, and the Orlando shows from Wrestlemania weekend have now been released.
