Torch Indy Reporter Chris Vetter travels thousands of miles each year to see dozens of indy shows all over the Midwest. His reports covering the entire U.S. Indy Scene are usually published exclusively here at PWTorch.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

WEEKEND PREVIEW, NEWS & NOTES

Well, this is the huge weekend for wrestling. Of course, with WrestleMania in Orlando, there are three big indy shows in the city leading up to ‘Mania. ROH has its double-header tonight and Saturday, featuring the stars of Japan’s Dragon Gate promotion. Nigel McGuinness faces Delirious tonight, and Saturday’s show includes Roderick Strong vs. Erick Stevens. That one is sure to be hard hitting!

Also in Florida on Saturday afternoon, UXW has some more well-known names with Jake Roberts, Abdullah the Butcher vs. Steve Corino, and Disco Inferno in action.

There are other big indy shows this weekend, too. In the Twin Cities, F1rst Wrestling runs tonight with Jerry Lynn vs. Al Snow. F1rst Wrestling has legitimately drawn about 400 fans for its shows in downtown Minneapolis, and I’m really looking forward to this event tonight. Details are below.

Also tonight, UWA Hardcore in Toronto returns with Claudio Castagnoli, Josh Abercrombie, Ricky Reyes, Chris Hero and Matt Cross in action.

There are numerous indy shows scattered across the U.S. on Saturday, as you’ll see by looking at the calendar below. Go see and support your local indy wrestling, and send me results!

In other news…

Sid Vicious will make his wrestling return for NWA Wrestling Showcase on April 18 in Lincoln, RI, at the Twin Rivers Casino.

And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.
