Radio Review: Buff doesn't understand his heat with Piper, Helms

Radio Review: Buff Bagwell
Show: "Extreme Mayhem"
Station: Available on the internet at xtreme.themayhem.com
Date: January 28, 2003
Hosts: Mike Nagel and Jeff Meacham
Report by Matt Boone, PWTorch.com correspondent

-Bagwell starts off by talking about the E-Bay auction where the winner could get a phone call with Buff. Bagwell said that he has several people that work for him, and one of them put up the E-Bay auction without Bagwell knowing about it. Bagwell told the kid that it was making them look stupid, but then found out by E-Bay that his auction got 8,000 hits and got the most traffic for any wrestler auction in a year. Bagwell said that the money didn't mean anything to him, and he was amazed at how many people were interested in the auction and talking to him. Once again, people try to put him down for the auction without knowing the whole story, and then those same people never mention the traffic that the auction got.

-Bagwell said he told the truth about Shane Helms, and he only talks about Shane Helms when people ask about their incident. He said he still liked Helms and has even been saying good things about him during radio interviews. Bagwell admits that it was his fault because he hit Helms first and he doesn't blame Helms for hitting him back.

-Bagwell is amazed that Roddy Piper drilled him regarding something that happened five years ago. Bagwell thought they were as close as they could be and can't believe that Piper remembered a two-minute interview from five years ago. Bagwell said that they did so much TV with Nitro that he couldn't even remember that segment.

-Bagwell then goes into detail about a "feud" between himself and internet reporter Matt Boone. It started when Bagwell made a few comments about Boone on XM. Bagwell was basically unhappy that Boone said bad things about him in news reports, and while Boone retracted the story personally, Boone never let the masses know the truth about reports. Boone responded by trashing Bagwell on his audio show, and then Boone and a friend prank phone called Bagwell. Bagwell plays the prank call live on the show and from there, Bagwell and the hosts call Matt Boone and the Bagwell/Boone confrontation begins!
