By Chris Vetter, Torch Contributor

Torch Indy Reporter Chris Vetter travels thousands of miles each year to see dozens of indy shows all over the Midwest. His reports covering the entire U.S. Indy Scene are usually published exclusively here at PWTorch.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

WEEKEND RESULTS, NEWS & NOTES

Welcome back! Lots of indy news to talk about today!

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in California had the biggest indy show of the weekend, with El Generico defeating Christopher Daniels to retain the PWG title, while Alex Shelley defeated Rocky Romero. Full results are below.

In International Wrestling Cartel, Ricky Reyes defeated Homicide on Friday to retain the heavyweight title. The Gambino Brothers regained the tag titles by defeating Shiima Xion & Jason Gory in an impromptu match. On Saturday, IWC held its legends show, with Tito Santana, Greg Valentine, Larry Zybyszko and Jim Neidhart. Result are below.

IWS in Montreal is boasting that their show Saturday featuring Christian Cage may be their show of the year. But, Necro Butcher missed his flight, and Azrieal got turned away at the border, so neither made it to Canada. Results of the show are below.

In other news…

IWA Mid-South has announced it has added the team of El Generico & Kevin Steen to its two-day tag tournament May 25 & 26! This is shaping up to be a great two days of wrestling!

And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.
