By Chris Vetter, Torch Contributor

Torch Indy Reporter Chris Vetter travels thousands of miles each year to see dozens of indy shows all over the Midwest. His reports covering the entire U.S. Indy Scene are usually published exclusively here at PWTorch.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

WEEKEND REPORT NEWS & NOTES

I’m back with all the news from the weekend! ROH was in Dayton on Friday, with Homicide & Samoa Joe defeating Adam Pearce & Steve Corino. I attended the ROH show in Chicago Ridge on Saturday, and I’ve posted a detailed report of that show. In the main event, Samoa Joe defeated American Dragon in a non-title, no DQ match.

Rhino has parted ways with JAPW, which is really unfortunate, as he had a great run as champion there. He was stripped of the title at the show Saturday. Teddy Hart won a no-holds barred main event four-way match over Homicide and Low Ki and Necro Butcher. Also on the show, Jay Lethal & Azrieal won the tag titles in a three-way match. Full results of the JAPW “Ninth Anniversary Show” are below.

In Chikara Pro in former ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Icarus was the lone survivor in the 16-man tag elimination match, last eliminating Eddie Kingston. Max Boyer also won the Young Lions Cup by defeating Arik Cannon. Results of the show are below.

On Sunday in Maryland Championship Wrestling, Samoa Joe defeated Christopher Daniels, and Chris Sabin defeated Ruckus. Results are below. Learn more at www.marylandwrestling.com.

In Northstar Premier Wrestling in Lonsdale, Minn., new WWE signee Magnus Maximus lost his heavyweight title in a four-way; he didn’t get pinned.

And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.
