Just a couple notes from me. The "Where is Chaz" watch is still on. I haven't received any feedback on him yet, so please let me know what he's up to. Thanks in advance.
I got a piece of good news from the Eastern Wrestling Alliance out of Maine. Dr. Heresy is booked for a dark match on NWA TNA on December 11 against Kid Krazy. Congrats to Dr. Heresy, it's very much deserved. Also out of the EWA, Adam Booker and Johnny Curtis will be wrestling at the NWA TNA show on November 20, 2002. Congrats to all. The EWA puts on a great product and has a tremendous amount of very underrated talent, and it's good to see them getting some recognition on the national stage. Good luck to all of them.
A note to all indy promoters: Keep your shows under three hours. Not even the most hardcore fan really wants to sit through over two hundred minutes of indy wrestling. I'm getting countless reports that say "The show was too long" from all over the country. People will be more satisfied if you give them two hours of top flight wrestling rather than getting burned out after three hours. Trust me on this one.
And the usual note to send all concise indy news notes, results, and feedback to me at indynews@pwtorch.com.

MLW Press Release: (WASHINGTON, DC) - November 11, 2002 - Just clocking in at under 40 days from the big December 20 event in Fort Lauderdale and it is with great excitement that MLW proudly announces a new division initiative. Effective immediately, Major League Wrestling will be initiating a Young Lions endeavor as part of a long-term effort to develop future MLW wrestlers to ensure a constant influx of challenges for the current roster which is predominately made up of top ranked established fighters from around the world.
As of today, all young talent within MLW must successfully pass a trial consisting of a seven match series before graduating to division status.
The true vision of the Young Lions initiative is to provide quality fighters that are hungry for a spot and have the skills necessary to fight at the level of the established fighters already in MLW - which will make for some outstanding encounters. It should be noted that any Young Lions fighter can challenge for any MLW championship despite their status as a Young Lion, however opportunities to do such will be limited until they graduate to a high division status.
Additional information regarding the Young Lions seven match series and other rules will be released on www.MLW.com shortly.
Dating back to mid September, MLW has been scouting and selectively recruiting talent from around the United States. In the coming days, MLW will introduce a few new fighters that will round out the current Young Lions Roster.
MLW has released the names of the current roster of Young Lions fighters: Fuego Guerrero (The Amazing Red), PJ Friedman, The Maximo Brothers, Low Ki.
