PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO BOOKMARK US & VISIT US DAILY

By Chris Vetter, Torch Contributor

Torch Indy Reporter Chris Vetter travels thousands of miles each year to see dozens of indy shows all over the country. His reports covering the entire U.S. Indy Scene are usually published exclusively here at PWTorch.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

WEEKEND RESULTS, NEWS & NOTES

Ring of Honor ran a full day on Saturday, with two shows. Due to injuries, Alex Shelley and A.J. Styles didn’t compete. Much of the show was rearranged. Samoa Joe defeated Christopher Daniels, and James Gibson defeated Spanky. Results of both the afternoon “Do or Die” show and the evening event are listed below.

On Sunday, Jeff Jarrett defeated Abyss in a steel cage match in NWA Cyberspace, when Rhyno interfered and helped pull Jarrett out of the cage. Results of that show are below.

I attended a fantastic IWA-Mid South show Friday in Midlothian Ill., where Chris Hero defeated Arik Cannon in the main event. This may be the best IWA-MS show of the year – and I’ve seen a lot of their shows, both live and on tape. I also went to the IWA-MS show Saturday in Lafayette, Ind., where Delirious defeated Hero. While Friday’s event was great, Saturday’s show was sub-par. Results of both shows are below.

James Caldwell has posted a review of the PWG show on Friday in Hollywood, Calif., and you should check out his post. Results of that show are below.

Jersey All Pro ran a show Friday, featuring Jay Lethal retaining the JAPW title in a no DQ match vs. EC Negro.

In some sad news, JAPW reported that indy wrestler Chris Cash has died. I recall seeing Cash on a handful of CZW shows in the past couple of years.

And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.
