In the wrestling world, the biggest story of the weekend was the confrontation between The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar at the UFC 121 PPV and whether it was an orchestrated angle to set up a potential WWE PPV match.

It remains to be seen whether their confrontation on Saturday night was simply two former colleagues exchanging words in the heat of the moment or the start of an angle leading to Lesnar's unexpected WWE return for a PPV match.

MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani, who was interviewing Undertaker, says the exchange was not planned on his end. He denied being part of any wrestling angle and says he would not have taken part in "something like that" if it were planned. Helwani said he's "still confused by it."

Helwani addressed the talk of wrestling this weekend in a series of posts on his Twitter page:

"Just want to note that if anyone thinks I was in on some kind of angle last night, they are HIGHLY mistaken. Seriously now.

"Haven't watched WWE in a couple years, don't know about storylines. All we were doing was intv. som1 who I thought was there 2 support Brock.

"I am still confused by it, to be honest. Nothing was planned in advance and I would NEVER, EVER be a part of something like that.

"Anyhow, as far as I know, the whole thing was genuine. Same as when we talked to the guys after (UFC) 116, The Rock, Booker (at Strikeforce: Houston), etc."

Caldwell's Analysis: The whole thing is just an odd situation. If WWE were setting up a big Brock vs. Taker money match at WrestleMania 27, would they have Taker involved in something as hokey as Buried Alive the night after the start of an angle? Would Brock want to be involved with Taker after the hokey Buried Alive match? Would Brock cooperating in a "worked match" while in the middle of his UFC career impact his PPV drawing power with the UFC audience no longer buying into him as a serious fighter? Could Taker even pull off a credible match with Lesnar considering his current physical condition?

There are so many questions on this story that we'll just have to wait out whether anything comes from it or whether it's to be taken at face value: two former Alpha Male colleagues exchanging words with testosterone flowing after the adrenaline rush of a live UFC fight.
