MMATorch Briefing: Fedor wants to fight Lesnar, Filho out of WEC, Heavyweight rankings, Big announcement Nov 19, 2008 - 12:25:00 AM
In a statement issued today by his management company M-1, Fedor Emelianenko expressed interest in a superfight between himself and new UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. Of course, this will only happen if the UFC is willing to co-promote with M-1 and Affliction Entertainment (which they aren't). To read the full statement and more, check out my write up on it here.
According to Dave Meltzer there are strong indications that Paulo Filho has been released following his very strange performance at WEC 36 after failing to make weight to defend his WEC Middleweight Title that night. More on Meltzer's story and my reaction can be found here.
