MMATorch Briefing: UFC 91 weigh-in results, Kim Couture vs. former Affliction CEO lawsuit, New audio Nov 14, 2008 - 11:52:31 PM
The weigh-ins for UFC 91 took place this afternoon at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Brock Lesnar came in as expected at the heavyweight maximum weight of 265 lbs, but will most likely be close to 280 lbs come fight time. The full weigh-in results can be found here.
Kim Couture filed a lawsuit against Affliction, Inc's CEO Todd Beard this week, alleging threats against her for attempting to obtain accounting documentation for their joint venture with the Xtreme Couture clothing line. My full write up on the lawsuit with commentary can be seen here.

Anybody else read about Dave Meltzer trying to say Lesnar would only come
in around 265-270 because he has been walking around light? Feel free to
ignore that. It was reported that 8 hours before the weigh-in, while Lesnar
was STILL cutting, that he was current 270-something. So when he gains all
that back, he WILL indeed be 275-280. I have no idea where Meltzer got his
info, or maybe he just got confused.

Can anyone tell me why there is a weight limit for heavyweight fighters in
UFC? Boxing says a heavyweight is 200 pounds and higher. Amateur wrestling
has no upper weight limit for their heavyweights. Why does UFC? Originally,
they didn't even have weight classes. It just seems odd to leave out guys
like Bob Sapp who could never make a 265 pound limit.
