LOUNGE BACKGROUND

The Lounge was opened in the summer of 2002 as a place within PWTorch.com for Torch contributors to gather to discuss pro wrestling casually, with loosened collars, a juke box playing, some cigar or cigarette smoking (in designated areas only, of course), colorful drinks in cool shaped glasses, a wide variety of snacks, and of course lively conversation. Torch Team Contributors who cover various beats for PWTorch.com such as TV Reviews and Indy Reports unwind once per week to write what's on their mind about pro wrestlng.

In May 2003, a member's only Lounge Discussion Area was created as part of the Torch's VIP Forum message boards where all PWTorch.com readers could interact with the Torch's Lounge Dwellers and talk about their recent columns or anything going on in wrestling or otherwise.

Bethel (original member), Pete Nyman with "Writer's Block" (original member), James Guttman with "Insult to Injury" (original member, now a Torch columnist), Robert Igoe with "Office Politics" (original member), and Keith Lipinski with "Lipinski's Lounge" (who still contributes Title Holder Listings).

Departures in 2004 include David Miller with "Miller's Minagerie," Marc Donmoyer with "What It's Worth," Kevin Sower with "Jobber Jabber," and Jon Koeller with "The Showstoppa'."

Some of them drop by from time to time with special columns to check in with everyone.
