Global Force Wrestling Results
July 10, 2015
Erie, Pa.
Report by Jason James, PWTorch correspondent
I counted the crowd a couple of times and it come out around 400.
(1) A.R. Fox beat "Omega" Aaron Draven and "Kentucky Gentleman" Chuck Taylor in a triple threat match. Good fast-past opener. Omega is a local wrestler from Erie and the crowd got behind him. The finish saw Fox pin Omega with a 450 splash. A good showing for the local as he didn't look out of place with the bigger names.
(2) Sonjay Dutt & Moose Ojinnaka beat Jon Bolen & Jamin Olivincia. when Moose pinned Olivincia Dutt & Moose were the faces. Moose was impressive and stood out in a solid tag match.
(3) Cherry Bomb beat Taeler Hendrix in a Women's match. They were given a good amount of time and had a good match. Much better than what you see in an average women's match on Raw.
Next, Eric Young came out with the King of the Mountain Title. He cut a promo saying he is a former World champion and that he was the only one worthy of holding a TNA title. This brought out Jeff Jarrett, who put over the Global Force roster. He said that he knew someone worthy of holding that title and called out hometown favorite "Big League" John McChesney.
(4) Eric Young beat "Big League" John McChesney. The crowd was behind McChesney the whole time. A really good showing for him. Eric Young controlled most of the match and hit the piledriver for the win.
Post-match, Jeff Jarrett tried to get the King of the Mountain Title back, but Eric Young retreated to the back with the title. Jarrett then got on the mic and put over John McChesney as the crowd gave him a nice applause.
[Intermission. Lots of the stars were out signing autographs and taking pictures. The Bullet Club stood out and were especially approachable.]
(5) Magnus beat Kongo Kong. Magnus was announced as "Magnus" Nick Aldis. Magnus got a good reaction. They had a back and forth match that saw Magnus hit his top-rope elbow for the pin. Near the end Kongo Kong missed a top-rope moonsault. Impressive for such a big guy.
(6) The Bullet Club (Doc Gallows & "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) beat P.J. Black & Sanada. Before the match started, Black and Sanada cut an anti-America promo. They also called The Bullet Club an NWO rip-off. This brought out "Big Papa Pump" Scott Steiner. He got on the mic and said that in his day, the NWO was the biggest thing in the world, just like today the biggest thing in the world is The Bullet Club. This led to the match. The finish started when the ref got knocked out. Black tried to use a baseball bat, but Steiner stopped him and hit him with the bat. Gallows and Anderson hit a reverse neckbreaker/back suplex on Black and their finisher on Sanada to pin both of them.
After the match, Jeff Jarrett thanked everyone for coming and he and Scott Steiner took pictures in ring with fans for quite a while. Overall, I had fun and it was a good show. Steiner and The Bullet Club had the best reactions followed by Magnus and the hometown guys McChesney and Omega. There was something for everyone and I recommend going if Global Force comes to your town.
