WWE Live show results
June 28, 2015
Roanoke, Va.
Report by Russell, PWTorch correspondent

(1) IC champion Ryback beat Mark Henry to retain the Intercontinental Title. The crowd was really into Ryback; he received the third best pop of the show. Ryback won following a splash from top rope.

(2) R-Truth beat Tyler Breeze. The match was short. Breeze generated good heel heat insulting the town. Truth then defended Roanoke and said Breeze was late because the beauty pageant was last night. (The facility hosted the Miss Virginia pageant on Friday and Saturday.) Truth won with a backslide, then Breeze was furious, so he demanded a second match. So, Jimmy Uso came out.

(3) Jimmy Uso beat Tyler Breeze with an Uso Splash. The match was two moves.

There was a brief pre-taped Bray Wyatt promo.

(4) Lucha Dragons beat Los Matadores and The Ascension in a three-team elimination match. Matadores were eliminated by The Ascension after Viktor pinned un Matador following Fall of Man. Ascension was eliminated after Sin Cara pinned Vicktor following a Swanton Bomb.

(5) Roman Reigns beat Bray Wyatt. (Last night in Boston, they went to a double count-out.) Reigns received the second-biggest reaction of the card. The crowd was really into this match, which did not have a lot of technical wrestling. There were a lot of strikes and running into each other. There was a small "This is Awesome" chant. During the match, Wyatt teased Sister Abigail twice before Reigns won with a spear. Overall, very entertaining match. The crowd loved Reigns, who proceeded to sign autographs and take selfies with people at ringside.

Also, an interesting note: Reigns entered through the back of the crowd on the floor. Berglund Center does not have an upper deck, so there is not a lot of space between breezeways and the floor.

[Intermission]

(6) Alicia Fox & Emma beat Cameron & Summer Rae. Emma and Fox carried the match with Emma doing the most work. Fox and Emma especially were surprisingly over with the crowd and the won when Fox pinned Rae.

(7) Sheamus beat Jack Swagger with a Brogue Kick. Not a lot to say on this one.

(8) WWE World Hvt. champion Seth Rollins beat Dean Ambrose in a Street Fight to retain the WWE World Title. Ambrose came out to the pop of the night, while Rollins was at his heel best. The match was fun and exciting with both guys shining. Rollins delivered a running powerbomb through a table in the corner. J&J Security then showed up near the end as Ambrose got the upper hand. (Jamie Noble was there, broken ribs and all.) Noble took some powder to the eyes and Mercury took Dirty Deeds, but Rollins used the distraction to hit the Pedigree and win.

After the match, Rollins and J&J began to circle Ambrose. Rollins took the mic and blamed the beat down Ambrose was about to receive on the crowd. But, Ambrose fought back, knocked Noble out of the ring, Mercury took a second Dirty Deeds, and Rollins took Dirty Deeds. Ambrose then placed Rollins on a table that J&J set up and landed an elbow through the table. Ambrose cleared the ring and then signed autographs and took selfies with the crowd on his way to the back.

Overall, a really good show and the crowd was super into the product. The building was about 70 percent full, not surprisingly, since Roanoke is a big supporter of pro wrestling and takes a lot of pride in being a B+ WWE city.
