Report by Joel Lieberman, PWTorch correspondent
(1) Neville beat King Barrett with Red Arrow.
After the match, as Neville was walking up the ramp, Kane attacked him and knocked him down. Kane then announced that the night's main event (steel cage championship match between Rusev and John Cena) would not take place because Rusev is injured. Instead, John Cena would face himself (Kane) in a steel cage match for the U.S. Title.
(2) Damien Sandow beat Tyler Breeze (w/Summer Rae) via DQ. Before the match, Summer Rae told everyone they are jealous of Tyler Breeze because he looks gorgeous, and they will never look as good as he does. Half=way through the match, Heath Slater came out and hit Sandow for a disqualification. They double-teamed Sandow for a bit until Axelmania made the save. Once the ring was cleared, Axel cut a promo in Hulk style, challenging them to a 2-on-1 handicap match (Sandow disappeared).
(3) Mega-Powers beat Heath Slater & Tyler Breeze. Toward the end of the match, Macho Mandow came out and it became a tag match with no explanation. Axel hit the big boot and leg drop for the win. After the match, Axelmania and Mandow pumped up the crowd with the Hulkster schtick.
(4) WWE tag champions New Day beat Tyson Kidd & Cesaro and Luke Harper & Erick Rowan in a three-team elimination match to retain the WWE Tag Titles. This stipulation was voted on by the WWE Universe in attendance via Twitter (the other option was a triple threat tag match). Great match. Plenty of heat for New Day, even when they weren't the active wrestlers. The match went quite long with some interesting spots. Harper & Rowan were eliminated first and hit the 3D before leaving. New Day retained after a ref distraction allowed Xavier Woods to crawl into the ring and punch Cesaro.
After the match, Cesaro & Kidd pretended to let New Day leave unscathed, but once their backs turned, Cesaro & Kidd delivered the swing/dropkick to first Xavier Woods, then Big E. They held the titles high before draping them over New Day's bodies.
[Intermission]
Naomi cut what appeared to be a pre-recorded promo on the video screen during intermission, saying she would beat Paige at Elimination Chamber, just like she would beat her tonight.
(5) Paige beat Naomi. Good pop for Paige. The Divas got a decent amount of time, but the crowd wasn't really into it. Paige rallied a couple of times, but Naomi had little heat. Paige won clean. After the match, she went around the ring a few times posing for photos with the fans.
Next out, Bo Dallas cut a promo in the ring before a match against Zack Ryder. He said he was impressed Monday night on Raw to learn that Ryder is friends with the Entourage cast. Tonight he would serve him a piece of humble pie by leaving him lying motionless in the ring. But, don't worry, there is a way to dust yourself off and get up again. All you have to do... is BOLIEVE.
(6) Zack Ryder beat Bo Dallas. Bo had good heat. In the opening segments of the match, he did a victory lap after each knock down to big boos. Eventually Ryder got the victory and posed for the crowd. After he left, Bo Dallas had a mini-tantrum in the ring before leaving with a pout.
(7) U.S. champion John Cena beat Kane in a steel cage match to retain the United States Title. The crowd was hot for Cena. The screams were deafening at pretty much every high spot. Any time Cena threatened to escape the cage, the crowd roared with enthusiasm. At one point, Cena went for the door, but Kane chased him and tried to hit a big boot. Cena dodged and Kane kicked the door open, knocking out the door-keeper. Shortly after, Cena fumbled a move on Kane and knocked out the in-ring ref. Cena then hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle followed by AA but there was no one to count three. While Cena was waking up the in-ring ref, Kane crawled to the door. Cena realized, scaled the cage wall, closed the door in Kane's face, and fell to the floor for the victory. After the match Cena posed for a few fans, raised the belt in the ring, then left.
