May 14, 2015
Philadelphia, Pa.
Report by VIP member Tyler Blue

JoJo opened up the show with a beautiful rendition of the Nation Anthem. Joey Styles was in attendance, which generated "E-C-Dub" chants in respect. He responded with "Oh my God!"

(1) NXT tag champions Blake & Murphy beat Enzo Amore & Big Cass. Enzo took a beat down for the majority of the match. Hot tag to Cass, who cleaned house with some clotheslines and a Kane-esque sidewalk slam. Blake ended up stealing the win on Cass.

(2) Bull Dempsey beat Jason Jordan. Not too much to report from this match. A very average match. There were chants of "Bull s---" before Bull picked up the win via some sort of top-rope move. The best way I could describe it is like Mojo Rawley's hyperdrive from the top.

(3) Bayley & Alexa Bliss beat Dana Brooke & Becky Lynch in a Divas tag match. Big pop for Becky and huge pope for Bailey. I dad to pee the whole time, but waited. What does that say about the quality of NXT's women's division? Bliss hot-tagged Bayley, who pinned Brooke via Bayley-to-belly suplex.

(4) NXT champion Kevin Owens beat Finn Balor and Tyler Breeze in a three-way match to retain the NXT Title. Owens started the match by exiting the ring and sitting in chair at ringside. Balor and Breeze battled before Owens got involved. Owens and Breeze double-teamed Balor and commenced the beat down. Balor hit a plancha to the outside, though, followed by Coup de Gras to Breeze. Owens pulled him to the outside, though, and stole the pin on Breeze.

Afterward, William Regal came out and announced that tomorrow night Owens will face Balor for the title.

(5) Solomon Crowe beat Tye Dillinger via submission. Dillinger is working the new "Perfect 10" gimmick and his commitment to it actually got him over with the Philly crowd, who responded with chants of "ten, ten." Crowe won via Stretch Muffler for the tap-out.

[Intermission]

Mick Foley came out to a fantastic reaction. After a brief few words, Foley took his seat on the front row.

(6) Baron Corbin beat Rhyno. Serious heat for Corbin, but he played off the crowd as a heel well. Huge AA spinebuster by Rhyno, but Corbin won via End of Days. Solid match and definite improvement in the ring for Corbin.

Afterward, Corbin cut a nice heel promo putting down ECW to loud chants of "shut the f--- up." Rhyno dished out a brutal gore and exited.

Triple H then came out to the pop of the night. He described his feelings like that of a proud papa. He said that he is most proud that we give "women a chance."

(7) NXT Women's champion Sasha Banks beat Charlotte via submission to retain the Women's Title. This was my match of the night. Chants of "better than Raw" and "better than Payback." The crowd was super into it. Charlotte with the Flair Flop for one of the pops of the night. Huge brute strength powerbomb from Charlotte for a near fall. Then, a sweet figure-four spot off of apron. But, Sasha won via tap-out withthe Bank Statement.

Overall, great show and the crowd was electric. I was disappointed that we didn't get a Sami Zayn appearance, but it was understandable due to his injury status. The show was so fun that I was convinced to come back for Night 2 on Friday.
