WWE Live show results
November 10, 2014
Bournemouth, England
Report by PWTorch subscriber John Sivewright

WWE returned to the Bournemouth International Centre for the first time in 20 years and the venue was probably 90 percent to capacity, with somewhere between 2,000-3,000 fans on hand for the action.

While a line-up was announced on the WWE website, most of us literally had no clue who would be there as there was a Raw taping going on in Liverpool at the same time. And, with three hours of air time to fill (the notion gets no less ludicrous every time you consider it!), we doubted there'd be much star power coming our way.

(1) NXT champion Adrian Neville beat Sami Zayn in an NXT Title match. Match of the night for sure as both guys put in a good shift in a back and forth bout with lots of high energy and athleticism. Lazy ring announcing here - they never bothered announcing that Neville was from Newcastle in the U.K., which would have no doubt got a good pop.

(2) Natalya & Emma beat Summer Rae & Layla in a tag bout. Natalya was over with the crowd and got the tap-out win with the Sharpshooter.

(3) Justin Gabriel beat Fandango. Short and inoffensive bout, bit instantly forgettable. Gabriel won with a springboard moonsault.

(4) Dean Ambrose beat Cesaro in a good bout. High tempo action with lots of good nearfalls and drama. The crowd were really behind Ambrose and he plays the 'Roddy Piper'-esque tweener character very well.

[Intermission]

(5) Naomi beat Cameron in a match that was too short to amount to anything. The Divas from the earlier bout all ran in afterwards for further brawling.

(6) WWE tag champs Goldust & Stardust beat The Usos to retain the Tag Titles. Decent tag action but nothing we haven't seen several hundred times on TV.

(7) Chris Jericho beat Bray Wyatt in a 'Bournemouth Street Fight.' This was a poor effort. While billed as a street fight, and a Singapore cane and table made appearances, this was much too pedestrian and lacking in urgency to live up to the billing. I know it's a house show and guys are going through the motions, but could they make it a bit less obvious next time? Y2J seemed sluggish and off the pace, but he had been absent for a while and the majority of the crowd were delighted to see him. Jericho won with what I believe was Codebreaker, but the spot looked a bit botched.

Overall, this was a decent effort and the crowd went home very happy. Although as it's been 20 years since Bournemouth saw WWE action, you could have sent Briscoe and Patterson out there in a 60-minute Iron Man match and we wouldn't have been too offended. I have to say I was surprised that Ambrose and Wyatt were in attendance. Considering WWE has three hours to fill every Monday night and the Hell in a Cell payoff, according to some, has still not been satisfactorily followed up on, surely they'd have been better off at TV?
