On the 11-year anniversary of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's first-ever show, the show went past 1:00 a.m. local time in classic PWG form.
The top news is Joey Ryan & Candice LaRae capturing the PWG Tag Titles from the Young Bucks in a Guerrilla Warfare match. Also, Roderick Strong is the new #1 contender to the PWG Title held by Kyle O'Reilly and Kevin Steen said farewell to PWG before leaving for WWE.
(1) Tommaso Ciampa beat Rocky Romero. A fun, hard-hitting opener.
(2) A.C.H. beat Cedric Alexander. A fantastic match that got the crowd rocking. Handshake for respect afterward.
(3) Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent?) beat The Unbreakable Effin' Shabangs (Johnny Gargano & Michael Elgin). Gargano replaced Elgin's usual tag partner, Brian Cage, who reportedly had a torn hamstring. Big group hug afterwards.
(4) Trevor Lee beat Kevin Steen via small package. Great match. "Thank You Steen" chants afterward, then Steen said he's going to help El Generico (Sami Zayn) raise orphans in Mexico (NXT).
(5) Frankie Kazarian beat Brian Kendrick via Flux Capacitor.
(6) Roderick Strong beat former ROH champion Adam Cole via orange crush backbreaker to become new #1 contender to the PWG Title.
(7) PWG champion Kyle O'Reilly beat Chris Hero via cross armbar to retain the PWG Title. Hard-hitting, long match. After the match, Roderick Strong attacked O'Reilly and held up the PWG Title.
(8) World's Cutest Tag Team (Joey Ryan & Candice LeRae) beat The Young Bucks in a Guerrilla Warfare match to capture the PWG Tag Titles. Joey & Candice won with a ballplex onto thumbtacks. Gummies, tables, chairs, and tacks were involved in the match.
