Ring of Honor results
"Raising the Bar" Night 2
March 8, 2014
Chicago, Ill.
Results submitted by Chris of PWPonderings.com and Marcus J.

From Marcus: Decent show. Smaller crowd, but good Chicago energy. There were probably 200 fewer chairs put out than a normal ROH show in Chicago. ... The Young Bucks won the Tag Title belts.

A television opening was shot for future ROH TV airings.

Dark Match: Jake Dirden beat Will Ferrara

(1) Michael Elgin beat Tyson Dux with an Elgin Bomb. Elgin put over Dux as a mentor and friend after the match.

(2) The Decade (Roderick Strong & B.J. Whitmer) beat Adrenaline Rush (A.C.H. & Tadarius Thomas) after Strong pinned Thomas with the Sick Kick. Adam Page was wearing a Decade shirt and accompanied Strong and Whitmer.

(3) Michael Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis) beat Jay Lethal with a roll-up holding onto the tights.

(4) The Briscoes beat Outlaw, Inc. (Homicide & Eddie Kingston) in a No DQ match. The match started out regular until a brawl started, then it was turned into a No DQ match.

Romantic Touch came out to cut a promo. He called himself a great wrestler and lover, then hit on ring announcer Scarlett. Touch called the fans virgins and then forcibly kissed Scarlett, who was apparently okay with this.

(5) Silas Young beat Matt Taven in a grudge match. Taven was distracted by Truth Martini who came out on the entranceway. Taven beat up Young afterward and hit the frog splash to boos.

(6) "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen beat Cedric Alexander with a package piledriver. Outlaw, Inc. appeared and applauded.

(7) Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) beat ReDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) to capture the ROH Tag Team Titles. The Bucks won when Nick rolled up O'Reilly to counter a triangle choke for a three count.

(8) ROH World champion Adam Cole beat Chris Hero 2-1 in a Ringmasters's Challenge to retain the ROH World Title. Cole won the first fall with the Floriday Key. Hero won the second fall via Stretch Plum submission. The third fall was a 15-minute Iron Man match:

Hero 1-0 after a bout, Hero 2-0 after Cole got DQ'ed for a belt shot, Hero 2-1 after Cole covered for a three count, Cole 2-2 after a neckbreaker across his knee, Cole 3-2 with a trio of superkicks, Cole 3-3 after Hero nailed an elbow for a pin. The time period ended, so Nigel McGuinness declared sudden death overtime. Cole then won with a backslide to retain.
