ROH TV taping results
January 5, 2013
Baltimore, Md. at DuBurns Arena
Estimated Attendance: 650+
Results submitted by Chris of PWPonderings.com
Noteworthy: ROH announced the next TV taping is February 2 in Baltimore. This is the same day as National Pro Wrestling Day and they are still supposed to have a showcase match of The Briscoes vs. S.C.U.M. The match is on the afternoon card, so the match doesn't conflict with the TV taping, but fans who wanted to attend the evening show most likely won't be able to stay at NPWD if they want to go to the ROH TV taping.
Title match results: The Briscoes retained the ROH Tag Titles over Coleman & Alexander, Adam Cole retained the ROH TV Title over B.J. Whitmer.
***
Dark Match: Papadon beat Ashley Six.
TV Taping #1
(1) Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly beat "Alabama Attitude" Corey Hollis & Mike Posey.
ROH matchmaker Nigel McGuinness cut a promo telling Jay Lethal that the only way he can get an ROH Title shot is if Steen changes his mind.
(2) Top Prospect Tournament Round 1: Q.T. Marshall (w/R.D. Evans) beat Mike Sydal.
(3) ROH tag champions The Briscoes beat Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander to retain the ROH Tag Titles.
TV Taping #2
The taping started with a Steen-Lethal in-ring confrontation. Lethal said that to destroy ROH, Steen has to destroy Lethal, in an attempt to get Steen to change his mind. Steen accepts, so it's look like it will be Steen vs. Lethal in the future.
(1) Top Prospect Tournament Round 1: Silas Young beat Adam Page with a Full Nelson stretch.
(2) Matt Hardy beat Rhett Titus.
(3) ROH TV champion Adam Cole beat B.J. Whitmer with the Florida Key to retain the ROH TV Title.
TV Taping #3
(1) Top Prospect Tournament Round 1: Tadarius Thomas beat Antonio Thomas. Truth Martini watched from ringside.
(2) Roderick Strong beat Grizzly Redwood.
(3) Michael Elgin beat Mike Bennett (w/Maria and Brutal Bob) with the spinning sit-out powerbomb.
(4) Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish beat the American Wolves to win a Tag Gauntlet.
Round 1: American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) beat Bravados Brothers.
Round 2: American Wolves beat S.C.U.M. (Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino.) Afterward, S.C.U.M. beat down the Wolves.
Round 3: Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish beat American Wolves after the S.C.U.M. beat down.
TV Taping #4
(1) Top Prospect Tournament Round 1: Matt Taven beat A.C.H. with a frogsplash. Truth Martini was on commentary.
Nigel McGuinness cut a promo saying that Matt Hardy vs. Adam Cole will not be for the TV Title, because Matt won with a low-blow, but Cole wanted it to be for the title as he is a fighting champion.
(2) Ms.Chif beat Athena with a second rope piledriver-type move.
(3) S.C.U.M. (ROH World champion Kevin Steen & Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino & Rhino) beat ROH tag champions the Briscoes & Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman in an eight-man tag match. For the finish, Steen pinned Alexander, even with Rhino setting up for a Gore. Jay Lethal was on commentary.
