WWE Raw house show report
April 15, 2011
Dublin, Ireland
Report by Paudie, PWTorch reader

I attended with my nephew and brother and we arrived at 7:15 to see the building was almost full. Cena merchandise was everywhere, as you would expect.

(1) Santino & Kozlov beat the Usos. Santino came out to a huge pop and started the match on his own, but Kozlov ran in at the end, which led to The Cobra for the win. Good opener.

(2) U.S. champion Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan to retain the U.S. Title. Bryan was booed out of the building when he came out and looked a bit surprised by the volume of the boos. Sheamus entered to a massive face pop and played the face the whole match, which he won with the Brogue Kick after a great match. Bryan is awesome live and really put on a show.

(3) Percy Watson beat Primo. Toilet break, but Percy won.

(4) Dolph Ziggler beat Evan Bourne. Ziggler came out to a nice ovation, which shows his time in the main event scene has rubbed off at last, as he got great heat without Vickie. Bourne also got a nice ovation. Lots of "Ziggler" chants midway through the match, as he won the older crowd over with his work, which was top class and on-par with Orton and Punk later. Dolph won with the Zig-Zag after avoiding Air Bourne, which was a nice surprise.

(5) Randy Orton beat C.M. Punk. Massive pops for both men and loads of dueling chants throughout. A lot of people were cheering for both of these men. Orton won with the RKO off a Punk springboard - the same finish as WrestleMania. This was a great match that really had the crowd eating it up.

R-Truth then came out with Melina to host a dance-off, which the younger crowd loved.

(6) Sin Cara beat Tyson Kidd. Cara's offense was amazing live and Tyson also got a lot heat because he can really work. Although, I'm pretty sure he'll continue to lose to Cara on Raw the next few weeks. Cara won with his top rope finisher, which was certainly better than his attempt on Primo Monday on Raw!

(7) Eve & Gail Kim beat The Bellas. I thought this was just boring. Eve took the hot tag to zero reaction and got the pin to zero reaction as well. How Gail hasn't been champion yet is a mystery!

Miz_130GG_179.jpg
Next was the main event. The Miz came out to the loudest heat I've experienced and I've seen Edge, Jericho, and Orton as heels. He then took the mic and gave a great talk and finished with his catchphrase. Miz is officially a huge star. The crowd was more set on booing Miz than cheering Cena, which shows how far he's come. Morrison entered to a nice ovation, but Cena's just took the roof off the building. It was deafening.

(8) WWE champion The Miz (w/Alex Riley) vs. John Morrison and John Cena in a three-way match for the WWE Title was changed. No real "Cena sucks" chants, as the crowd was more interested in Miz. Miz took a beating before Riley interfered with the briefcase and actually used it for once. The Raw GM then changed it to a tag match.

(8b) John Cena & John Morrison beat WWE champion The Miz & Alex Riley. Cena and Morrison won after the Attitude Adjustment and Starship Pain, respectively. Great tag match.

Overall, a great night with three great matches - Orton-Punk, Ziggler-Bourne, and Sheamus-Bryan.

Loudest Pops:

Cena
Sheamus
Orton

Most Heat:

Miz
Bryan
Punk
