New Japan Pro Wrestling's annual January 4 Dome Show featured current TNA wrestlers Team 3D dropping the IWGP tag titles in a three-way match. The supercard featured wrestlers affiliated with the New Japan, NOAH, and Zero-One promotions.
Other notable stars on the card recognizable to American fans from WWE, TNA, WCW, ECW, or ROH included Terry Funk, Abdullah the Butcher, Yuji Nagata (who wrestled Kurt Angle on the first Global Impact), Tajiri, Masato Tanaka, Chono, Jushin Liger, Giant Bernard (A-Train) & Karl Anderson, Marufuji, Tanahashi, and Go Shiozaki.
(1) Super Strong Machine & Wataru Inoue & Mitsuhide Hirasawa beat Jushin "Thunder" Liger & Koji Kanemoto & Kazuchika Okada.
(2) IWGP Jr. Heavyweight tag champions Ryusuke Taguchi & Prince Devitt beat beat Ultimo Guerrero & Averno to retain the IWGP Jr. tag titles.
(3) Yujiro & Tetsuya Naito beat IWGP tag champions Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) and Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson in a three-way hardcore match when Yujiro pinned Anderson to capture the tag titles. Team 3D wasn't pinned to drop the titles.
