TNA house show report
June 5, 2009
Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada
Report by Ryan Ro, Torch reader of ECCW.com
Crowd was anywhere from 500-1,000, hard to tell. There was virtually no advertising ahead of time, but the crowd was insanely loud and brought a lot of energy to the event. They were into everything. It was basically the same card TNA's run on this Pacific Northwest house show loop, but every match received significant time and the wrestlers interacted with the crowd frequently. Lots of fun little things in each match you can't really do justice to in a report.
Five matches sounded really short on paper but the show ran nearly three hours with intermission and talkie bits, and I feel like I got more than enough wrestling for my money. Beer Money's pre-match promo was awesome.
(1) X Division champion Suicide and Daniels went to a time limit draw.
(2) Knockouts champion Angelina Love pinned Taylor Wilde with her feet on the ropes.
(3) Eric Young (in Team Canada tights) pinned Matt Morgan after a Death Valley Driver.
(4) Legends champion A.J. Styles beat Daniels and Suicide in a triple-threat match to retain the Legends Title. Styles won with the Styles Clash on Daniels.
(5) Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) & Jeff Jarrett beat Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm) & Sheik Abdul Bashir in a six-man tag with the 3D through a table.
After the show, all the wrestlers came to ringside to sign autographs. Fans could pay 20 bucks to go in the ring for a photo and autograph with Team 3D.
