6/2 TNA in Nampa, Idaho: Team 3D & Jarrett vs. Beer Money & Sheik, Styles pulls double duty against Suicide and Daniels Jun 3, 2009 - 1:22:47 AM
TNA house show results
June 2, 2009
Nampa, Idaho
Report by Jeff Anderson, Torch reader
(1) Daniels beat Suicide in a quality match earning Daniels a shot at the Legends Title later that evening.
(2) The Beautiful People (Knockouts champion Angelina Love & Velvet Sky) beat Taylor Wilde & Becca. Taylor's partner was billed as a native of Idaho. The Beautiful People were entertaining to watch and I was very impressed with the in-ring abilities of the Knockouts.
(3) Matt Morgan beat Eric Young. This match really demonstrated two different styles with Morgan showing some serious power and Eric with his unique humor incorporated in his wrestling.
(4) Legends champion A.J. Styles beat Daniels to retain the Legends Title. These two wrestlers put on a technically sound match that was truly exciting to watch. It was A.J. Styles's birthday, so the crowd sang to him.
(5) TNA tag team champions Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) & Jeff Jarrett beat Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode) & Sheik Abdul Bashir when Bashir went through a table. Watching Beer Money and Team 3D was highly entertaining as Beer Money would put themselves in embarrassing situations and Team 3D was there to assist. This main event really showed how to incorporate humor and sound wrestling.
This was my first TNA event and I was impressed. I have attended other wrestling shows and remember being a little disappointed with the "fakeness" of the wrestling moves. The TNA superstars were crisp and precise and really demonstrated quality moves. They were entertaining to watch. TNA allowed fans to get their picture in the ring with Team 3D. Some of the wrestlers, including Samoa Joe, came out and signed autographs. They put on a quality show even though the crowd was not very large. I would certainly recommend attending a TNA live event. It is worth the price of admission.
