SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
SHOW SUMMARY: In our latest episode of Alan4L’s ProWres Paradise, PWTorch columnist Alan4L brings us back to July 2006 with the help of Travis McNeill as we continue the “I Was There When….” series. Travis was there on the hot summer night when the wrestlers of Ring of Honor and Combat Zone Wrestling entered Cage of Death in Philadephia, Pennsylvania. It was the culmination of one of the greatest feuds in wrestling history (which came up in the mailbag last week) and it was a booking masterclass by Gabe Sapolsky with twists and turns that are still so memorable 12 years later. Travis lets us know what it was like being there on the night, from entering the segregated bleachers to the reactions for the memorable post-match angle. A really fun trip down memory lane, and a great recounting of what it was like being an indy wrestling fan in the mid-2000s.
