1/22 NXT SPOILERS – Full Results from Orlando TV taping

WWE taped upcoming episodes of the NXT show at Friday night’s TV taping on-campus at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Episode 1 SPOILERS

(1) Baron Corbin beat Johnny Gargano with End of Days. Gargano is getting more competitive in NXT, but is still positioned as an underdog.

(2) The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley) beat Cory Hollis & John Skylar.

(3) Alexa Bliss beat Cameron. Heel vs. Heel.

(4) Elias Samson beat Jesse Sorenson via neckbreaker.

(5) NXT Women’s champion Bayley beat Carmella to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. Eva Marie and Nia Jax attacked both post-match, until Asuka came out and cleared house. Bayley and Asuka shared an intense stare down as Asuka made the title belt motion to close the show. This was really good.

Episode 2 SPOILERS

(1) Enzo Amore & Big Cass and Jason Jordan & Chad Gable beat NXT tag champs Dash & Dawson and Blake & Murphy in an eight-man tag match.

(2) Asuka beat Deonna Purrazo.

(3) Tye Dillinger beat Alex Riley.

(4) Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe went to a draw in a #1 contender match to the NXT Title. Sami hit the Helluva Kick and fell on top of Joe for the pin. Both men’s shoulders were down.

NXT GM William Regal came out after the episode and said there will be a #1 contender determined before the end of the taping.

Episode 3 SPOILERS

(1) Apollo Crews beat Christopher Gerrard (Biff Busick).

(2) Tommaso Ciampa beat Bull Dempsey.

(3) Nia Jax & Eva Marie beat NXT Women’s champion Bayley & Carmella.

It was announced that Joe and Zayn will face each other in a 2/3 Falls match to determine the #1 contender “in two weeks,” which will be the Full Sail taping this coming Wednesday.

Episode 4 SPOILERS

(1) The Vaudevillians squashed Hugo Knox & Tucker Knight.

(2) Elias Samson squashed Steve Cutler.

(3) Emma beat Santana Garrett via submission.

Austin Aries then debuted. William Regal introduced Aries to a huge ovation. As he was entering the ring, Baron Corbin attacked from behind and issued a nasty slam into the ring apron. Corbin left as Regal fumed.

(4) NXT champion Finn Balor beat Neville with Bloody Sunday in the main event. This was the match of the night. Balor then posed for the crowd and did the Bullet Club motion to close the taping.
