SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Vince McMahon has always promoted wrestling around the idea that bigger is better. Toy companies, collectors, and kids don’t necessarily agree.
WWE action figures come in all shapes and sizes, all the way from small Lego Minifigure-like Stackdown toys to the massive 31-inch toys from Wicked Cool Toys. But now, WWE figures have gotten even smaller in two new lines.
TeenyMates
TeenyMates are one-inch tall cartoonish figures with large, detailed heads and smaller bodies. They are sold exclusively at Target stores in the trading section. Each $4 pack contains two figures. There are 28 basic figures and four limited chase figures.
The basic series is made up of current stars like Roman Reigns, John Cena, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose. There are also figures of WWE legends such as Bret Hart, Sting, and the Ultimate Warrior. The four chase figures are a glow-in-the-dark Undertaker, crystal clear John Cena, alternate attire Randy Savage, and gold figure of The Rock.
The clear Cena and glow-in-the-dark Undertaker have been selling in the $15-25 range. The scarcer Savage and Rock figures have yet to surface on sites like eBay and Amazon.
TeenyMates have been around for several years, with NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and other lines. The WWE figures are unique in that they feature individual characters. Most of the sports TeenyMates are team-based and aren’t of specific players. The rare gold figures in other sports lines regularly sell in the $75-100 range.

Mattel Mighty Minis
Mighty Minis are like miniature versions of Mattel’s regular WWE line. Each $3 blind bag contains one figure that needs to be assembled. The series features the usual suspects like Cena, Reigns, and Rusev, along with Ted DiBiase. The package advertises two Bret Hart figures as “coming soon,” including a Hart Foundation variant.
A miniature ring that folds up into a Money in the Bank-style briefcase is available for $15-20. It comes with mini figures of Reigns and Rollins.
