SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-NJPW announced today that Will Ospreay would be held out of his undercard tag match in NJPW’s G1 Climax 29: Night 4. You can read NJPW’s statement on Ospreay’s injury below:

Will Ospreay has suffered a neck injury and will miss action on Monday July 15 in Hokkaido.

Ospreay is not suffering from any skeletal or nervous issues. His status for the next G1 Climax event on Thursday July 18 will be determined after Ospreay undergoes thorough medical evaluation.

We sincerely apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing Ospreay wrestle, and appreciate your understanding.

Radican’s Analysis: Hopefully Ospreay is good to go when block action resumes on Thursday. Ospreay has been the MVP of the G1 Climax so far with two incredible matches against Lance Archer and SANADA. Ospreay has toned down his style, but he still does a lot of high risk spots.

Here’s to hoping his injury in nothing serious and he can continue on in the G1 Climax tournament. Ospreay has been the top wrestler in the world in 2019 by a wide margin.
