A stir was created Thursday on Twitter when a question came up about who owns the rights to the “Bullet Club” faction.
The answer is New Japan owns the U.S. rights to market the “Bullet Club” trademark and logo, according to the latest information with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
New Japan’s corporate office in Tokyo, Japan filed the trademark in June 2015. The trademark is still live for New Japan to be able to use the Bullet Club logo for goods & services related to:
“Shirts; pants; headgear for wear; parkas; sweatpants; sweatshirts; jackets; trousers; bandanas; tee-shirts; garters; sock suspenders; braces for clothing, namely, suspenders; waistbands; belts for clothing; footwear other than special footwear for sports.”
New Japan star Shinsuke Nakamura and Bullet Club members A.J. Styles, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson are heading to WWE, which led to WWE acknowledging the Bullet Club faction on social media to pave the way for their debuts.
Also related to the Bullet Club, Doc Gallows filed a request one month ago to own the “Biz Cliz” name playing off Bullet Club.
The “Biz Cliz” trademark was originally filed on September 23, 2015 and Gallows (Drew Hankinson) filed for ownership rights on December 8.
The listed purpose of the “Biz Cliz” trademark is for “entertainment services, namely, performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.”
Bullet Club is all that matters.
