SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

WWE has announced the releases of T.J. Perkins, Hideo Itami, and Tye Dillinger. Longtime producer/agent Arn Anderson is also no longer with WWE, but WWE hasn’t officially announced it.

With the NXT call-ups, and some wrestlers outright looking to be released to explore options in AEW and elsewhere, cutbacks were expected.

The four NXT wrestlers who appeared on Raw and Smackdown this week are internally now listed as main roster wrestlers. Ricochet is the wrestler most likely to be an immediate regular on the main roster, although Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano, and Tomasso Ciampa could also be back as soon as Monday. Internally, WWE and NXT creative teams are now working together to create synergy and consistency with the characters, something absent from Monday’s presentation of, especially, Gargano and Ciampa.
