-Kota Ibushi is still a free agent according to multiple sources and is working on a handshake deal with NJPW. Ibushi is said to have enough financial security to not have to sign a deal with any company. Ibushi is currently involved in a storyline with Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega in NJPW that is set to continue to play out in multi-man tags on the first two dates of the The New Beginning events that begin at the end of the month. On Jan. 27 at The New Beginning in Sapporo: Night 1, Ibushi will team with Juice Robinson and David Finlay against Bullet Club of Cody Rhodes, Marty Scurll, and Hangman Page. At The New Beginning in Sapporo: Night 2, Ibushi will team with David Finlay and KUSHIDA against the Bullet Club unit of Rhodes, Scurll, and Page. Ibushi and Rhodes are not booked for The New Beginning in Osaka on Feb. 10.
-Ring of Honor has offered contracts to three members of the Women of Honor (WOH) according to Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens. Ring of Honor is looking to lock up women under non-exclusive deals according to the report ahead of their tournament to crown the first WOH Champion, which begins this month. Those offered contracts so far include Mandy Leon, Kelly Klein, and Deonna Purrazzo. PWTorch has independently confirmed the report. Additionally, PWTorch has learned that ROH is also extending offers to Sumie Sakai, Jenny Rose, and Stella Gray.
Current ROH World TV Champion Silas Young is currently a free agent. Young recently tweeted about his current status. PWTorch has confirmed that Young is a free agent and has not signed a new deal after his old deal expired recently. Young also tweeted about his desire to work with the best talent from all over the world in 2018. Young was previously under an exclusive deal with ROH in 2017.
