WWE top star John Cena appeared in several segments during the middle hour of NBC’s “Today” show Tuesday morning from New York City.
Cena noted that he just flew in from spending “a few weeks in the woods” shooting the “American Grit” TV series for Fox. Cena added that his girlfriend Nikki Bella was in town to meet him after the show.
During the hour, Cena had a solo segment promoting his role in the upcoming “Sisters” comedy movie.
In other segments, Cena was part of an ensemble discussing current events, helping preview holiday food items, and discussing home improvement with Chip & Joanna Gaines from the popular “Fixer-Upper” TV show.
Cena took a backseat during most segments, showing not as much energy as previous appearances on the “Today” show since he’s in the middle of filming a TV series on the other side of the country in Washington state.
