Notes: WWE taped three episodes leading into the “Takeover: London” special. … Austin Aries, who was spotted at Full Sail earlier in the day, did not appear in front of the cameras. … James Storm wrestled at the tapings. … “Blue Pants” Leva Bates returned to NXT to be squashed. … Stephanie McMahon and Linda McMahon were spotted in the production area. … Michael Cole replaced the surgically-repaired William Regal as temporary NXT GM.

Dark Match: Levis Valenzuela beat Alexander Wolfe.

Episode #1 Results – Nov. 25

Michael Cole mediated a contract signing between NXT champion Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe, which of course ended in physicality. Joe choked Finn out with the Clutch again.

(1) NXT tag champions Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder beat the Vaudevillians to retain the NXT Tag Titles. The champs retained in quick fashion.

Post-match, Enzo Amore & Big Cass returned and gave Dash and Dawson the boots. Unreal reaction for Enzo and Cass.

Asuka came out for a match, but was ambushed by Emma and Dana Brooke.

(2) Apollo Crews squashed Jesse Sorrenson

(3) NXT Women’s champion Bayley beat Eva Marie to retain the Women’s Title after two dramatic ref bumps, and a Nia Jax screwjob. This was AMAZING drama… for all the wrong reasons. The crowd was on the edge of their seats begging for Eva not to win. Bayley escaped three very close nearfalls. Post-match, Nia Jax rouged up Bayley and held the title over her ominously.

Episode #2 Results – Dec. 2

(1) Baron Corbin beat Tye Dillinger.

(2) Nia Jax squashed Blue Pants.

(3) James Storm beat Adam Rose with a Superkick finisher.

(4) Jason Jordan & Chad Gable beat the Vaudevillains. The Vauds refused a post-match handshake.

(5) Emma squashed Gionna Daddio (who was announced with another name change, but I didn’t catch it).

(6) Samoa Joe beat Tomaso Ciampa. This was very good.

Really good episode of wrestling.

Episode #3 Results – Dec. 9

(1) Bull Dempsey beat Riddick Moss.

(2) Enzo Amore & Big Cass beat Corey Hollis & John Skylar.

(3) Asuka beat Dionna Parazzo by referee decision after a flush headkick rocked her.

(4) The Hype Bros (Zack Ryder & Mojo Rawley) beat Blake and Murphy.

(5) NXT Women’s champion Bayley beat Peyton Royce. Nia Jax confronted Bayley post-match. The title match was made for Takeover.

(6) Samoa Joe & Baron Corbin beat NXT champion Finn Balor & Apollo Crews. Finn was left high and dry when Apollo brawled with Corbin through the production area. He passed out in Joe’s clutch. Joe stood tall to conclude the Takeover lead-in show.
