SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Ring of Honor will tour Japan on February 19 & 20 as part of their partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
ROH did not announce which stars will be on the tour, but ROH is expected to bring top stars to Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, similar to New Japan sending top stars to the U.S. last year.
“The relationship with New Japan is very strong and we are honored to bring our stars to Tokyo in the same way that they travel to the United States to compete,” said COO Joe Koff in ROH’s announcement.
“Both companies share the same vision in bringing the absolute best wrestling to fans across the world. We are very excited about this opportunity and really everything we have in store for 2016.”
ROH then returns to the U.S. for their 14th Anniversary shows the following weekend on Feb. 26 & 27 in Las Vegas. Koff hinted at New Japan involvement, which is technically already advertised in the form of Bullet Club members A.J. Styles and The Young Bucks.
“Additionally, if you thought the Anniversary show in Las Vegas last year was special, you do not want to miss the 14th Anniversary,” Koff said in the same breath as discussing the ROH/NJPW relationship.
