While still serving a 30-day Wellness Policy suspension, Alberto Del Rio was released from his WWE contract on Friday.
Del Rio will not be returning to WWE TV after a rocky road one-year run back with the company.
“WWE and Jose Rodriguez (Alberto Del Rio) have mutually agreed upon the terms of his release as of today, September 9, 2016,” WWE announced Friday. They did not wish him well in his future endeavors.
Del Rio also addressed his release on Twitter, saying his “business relationship with WWE has come to an end in good terms.” Del Rio added that he has finished his relationship with WWE.
