SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Brock Lesnar says he is hopeful he will be able to return to UFC down the road.
Lesnar, who was flagged for two drug-testing violations surrounding his UFC 200 return victory, told TMZ that he recognizes it will be a “bumpy road” to get back into the octagon.
“I got a few challenges to overcome before I can get there,” Lesnar said with a knowing smile at the “WWE 2K17” video game event Friday night in New York City.
“I don’t know – right now I’m going to focus on my WWE career. I wanted to step back into the octagon and avenge my loss against diverticulitis. Sunday, I’m facing Randy Orton at Summerslam, and that’s really all that’s on my mind.”
“There will be a day – maybe – where they (my fans) see me back in the octagon,” Lesnar closed the soundbyte interview.
Next up for Lesnar is what the Nevada State Athletic Commission decides on Lesnar’s violation and potential punishment at a hearing scheduled for this coming week after Summerslam.
