SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Former WWE star Damien Sandow debuted on TNA Impact television Thursday night on Pop TV.
Sandow was introduced as a new free agent signing, similar to how WWE’s NXT brand has introduced recent TNA signees like Bobby Roode and Austin Aries.
TNA introduced Sandow under a new identity of Aron Rex. He went on to cut a promo about proving himself as a top star in TNA.
At the end of the show, after Bobby Lashley successfully defended the TNA Hvt. Title against James Storm, Rex walked out on-stage to glare into the ring towards Lashley.
Lashley is scheduled to defend the TNA Hvt. Title against BFG Playoffs winner Ethan Carter III at the Bound for Glory PPV on October 2. However, there are more wrestlers in the title picture – Rex, Drew Galloway, and Moose – to sort out before BFG.
I am very happy to see Sandow go where hopefully he wont be totally buried like he was in WWE. I might actually be interested to watch TNA again just to see Sandow.
