Shawnee, Okla. at Firelake Arena
Report by Sam Henderson, PWTorch correspondent
(1) Ky-ote retained the IWR Revolutionary Title in a five-way match involving Matt Sydal, Dane Griffin, Bolt Brady, and Ricky Starks. Ky-Ote pinned Starks after a frog splash. Starks has an interesting gimmick where he walks an imaginary dog to the ring during his entrance.
(2) Mickie James defeated Nikki Knight after a roll-up.
The scheduled match-up between the Von Erichs (Ross and Marshall) and Lance Hoyt and Moonshine Mantell (w/Jim Cornette) broke out into a brawl. Cornette then signaled for Abyss to come out. After Abyss attacked the Von Erichs, the Rock ‘n Roll Express came to the ring for the save. Jim Ross then came to the ring and made a match-up between the Rock ‘n Roll Express and Hoyt & Mantell.
(3) The Rock ‘n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) beat Lance Hoyt & Moonshine Mantell (w/Jim Cornette).
(4) Jeff Jarrett (w/Karen Jarrett) defeated Guy Atticus after hitting a forward Russian leg sweep. Jeff and Karen cut a heel promo on the crowd insulting Oklahoma before the match.
(5) Ethan Carer III beat Abyss (w/Jim Cornette) with a roll-up after Cornette hit Abyss with his tennis racket on accident. Abyss and Cornette teased tension with each other after the match.
(6) NWA World Hvt. champion Jax Dane beat Bull James (f/k/a Bull Dempsey) with a spear to retain the NWA Heavyweight Championship. Bull worked Dane’s arm throughout the match.
(7) Chris Cambridge beat Chris Masters with a backslide pin to retain the IWR Heavyweight championship. Masters worked Cambridge’s leg throughout the match.
(8) DX (“X-Pac” Sean Waltman & Billy Gunn w/Kevin Nash) beat Moose (replacing MVP) & Montego Seeka (w/Prince Al Farat) in the main event. DX won after Gunn hit a Fameasser on Seeka to get the pin.
Before the match, X-Pac and Gunn did the DX “suck it” schtick. After the match, X-Pac thanked everyone for coming to the show and then hit a bronco buster on Al Farat to close the show.
Day 2 of OklaMania will take place Sunday at the Cox Convention Center in OKC, headlined by Sting, The Hardys, and many of the same stars from Night 1.
