Lucha Underground TV & DVR Viewership Second Quarter 2016
Lucha Underground, like each of the other pro wrestling shows on U.S. TV, had a downturn in the second quarter 2016.
VIEWERSHIP
– The live airings on Wednesday night averaged 117,769 viewers, down from 128,300 in the first quarter.
– The replay airings on Wednesday night averaged 59,846 viewers, down from 65,000 in the first quarter.
– DVR viewership was inconsistent since there were weeks where Lucha did not rank in the DVR charts. The weeks that did chart averaged 19,700, down from 23,400 in the first quarter.
– TOTAL VIEWERSHIP was 192,769 per show (live + replay + DVR) in the second quarter, down 11.0 percent from 216,700 in Q1.
DEMOGRAPHICS
– Lucha’s median age viewer was 51.4 years-old in the second quarter, older than 49.8 in Q1.
– Lucha split 82 percent males 18-49 and 18 percent females 18-49, narrower than a 77/23 split in Q1.
– For the first-run airings, Lucha averaged 47,462 adult 18-49 viewers per episode vs. 58,900 in Q1.
