SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Fight Network wants to add more original pro wrestling to its TV line-up and AAA wants to expand its reach in North America.

As a result, the AAA promotion based out of Mexico announced a new TV distribution deal with Canada’s Fight Network this week.

AAA’s “Lucha Libre Worldwide” show will air on Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. EST across Canada on Fight Network.

“From Rey Mysterio Jr. to Eddie Guerrero, some of the best talent to ever grace a professional wrestling ring have come up through the AAA ranks in Mexico. The organization is rooted in tradition and we’re excited to bring viewers a weekly product with excellent production value and world-class talent, the latest addition to our extensive block of professional wrestling content,” said Chad Midgley of Fight Network.

“Our partnership with Fight Network enables us to take the AAA experience beyond Mexico to Canada in a way that leverages the legacy of one of the most popular entertainment experiences in Latin America. We cannot be more excited about starting this new venture with Fight Network,” said AAA General Manager Joaquín Roldán.

Fight Network already airs TNA Impact, ROH TV, and New Japan programming. AAA has a U.S. TV presence through the Lucha Underground series on El Rey Network.
