COUNTDOWN TO GENESIS

-Frankie Kazarian beat Leon Slater

MAIN SHOW

(1) MOOSE (w/Alisha Edwards)(c) vs. ACE AUSTIN — TNA X Division Title match

Moose debuted a new X Division Title belt. Ace had the early advantage, but Moose came back and powerbombed Ace on the apron. At one point, Moose speared JDC by accident on the floor. Ace did a dive on Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards when they came to ringside. Moose gave Ace a spear, but Ace kicked out of the pin attempt. Moose delivered two more spears and got the pin.

WINNER: Moose in 15:00.

Myers and Edwards came back out, but Eric Young and Steve Maclin ran out and they brawled at ringside to get into the next match.

(2) ERIC YOUNG & STEVE MACLIN vs. BRIAN MYERS & EDDIE EDWARDS (w/Alisha Edwards)

Both teams traded the advantage. Alisha got in the ring, causing a distraction which led to Myers getting a near fall. Young broke up the System Overload. Maclin gave Myers the KIA and got the pin.

WINNERS: Steve Maclin & Eric Young in 7:00.

(3) SPITFIRE (Dani Luna & Jody Threat)(c) vs. ASH BY ELEGANCE & HEATHER BY ELEGANCE — (w/The Concierge) TNA Knockouts Tag Team Title match

The Elegances wore Dallas Cowboy cheerleader outfits (for the record, Spitfire came out in TNA branded jackets). Spitfire gave Heather a delayed suplex. The Concierge caused a distraction that led to the Elegances getting the advantage on Dani. Jody eventually made the hot tag. All four wrestlers fought. Dani gave Ash two suplexes. Jody threw Heather out of the ring. Dani suplexed Ash from the apron into the ring. Spitfire hit the Pressure Drop on Ash. Jody got the pin.

WINNERS: Spitfire in 10:00.

-Clip of Frankie Kazarian pinning Leon Slater on the countdown show. Frankie did a promo from the locker room saying Slater is the future, but he is the present. He said he would be looking at the TNA World Title match and might decide to cash in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy.

(4) JORDYNNE GRACE vs. TESSA BLANCHARD

They charged at each other at the bell and traded punches. Grace threw Tessa out of the ring and hit a dive and a Juggernaut Jackhammer. The crowd chanted “F*** you, Tessa!” and booed heavily when she went on offense. Tessa threw Grace into the ring steps. The crowd split into a “Let’s go Tessa/Tessa sucks!” chant. Grace gave Tessa a fall-away slam off the top rope. They traded punches. Grace gave Tessa a package powerbomb for a two count. Tessa delivered a suplex for a two count.

Grace got a two count after a spinebuster. Tessa escaped a suplex and gave Grace a neckbreaker for a two count. Tessa did a spinning crossbody block on Grace on the floor. Grace gave Tessa a Death Valley Driver off the steps to the floor. Fans chanted “This is awesome!” It sounded like the crowd chanted “She’s a racist” briefly after Tessa hit a big move.

Tessa put Grace in the Octopus. Grace powered out. Grace gave Tessa a backfist, but Tessa came back with a cutter for a two count. Tessa tried to rip off a turnbuckle pad. Tessa gave Grace a DDT into the turnbuckle pad (which presumably was supposed to be torn off). Tessa ripped off the middle turnbuckle pad. Tessa gave Grace a bulldog into the exposed turnbuckle and hit Magnum to get the pin. This was really good.

WINNER: Tessa Blanchard in 20:00.

(5) MIKE SANTANA vs. JOSH ALEXANDER  8— I Quit match

After an early exchange, the match went to the floor. Back in the ring, Alexander hit Three Amigos and did the dance. Alexander continued to work on Santana’s leg. They traded chops and slaps. Santana gave Alexander a cannonball. Alexander put Santana in the ankle lock, but he didn’t quit. Alexander sent Santana through a table on the outside. Alexander hit Santana’s leg with a chair, but he wouldn’t quit.

Alexander gave Santana a series of strikes. Santana tried to make a comeback but collapsed. Alexander gave Santana a C-4 Spike, but Santana immediately rose up, to the shock of Alexander and the crowd. Santana gave Alexander a buckle bomb and a rana off the top rope, followed by a splash from the top rope. Santana gave Alexander the Spin the Block and knocked out his mouth guard and headgear.

Santana took the zip tie that Alexander had brought in the ring and tied Alexander’s hands behind his back. Santana hit another Spin the Block. Alexander wouldn’t quit. Santana set up a table over Alexander in the corner. Santana did a cannonball off the steps and through the table on Alexander. Alexander still didn’t quit. Santana hit Alexander with a slapjack repeatedly. Alexander was bleeding. He said “You’ll never be the guy, Mike.” Santana was about to give Alexander a curb stomp on the steps, but Alexander finally quit. Another excellent match.

WINNER: Mike Santana in 24:00.

After the match, Alexander got to his feet and at Santana’s urging, shook his hand. Alexander told Santana he was the standard of TNA now. Alexander said, “I quit tonight — but I quit TNA too”, then walked off.

(6) MATT & JEFF HARDY (c) vs. THE RAZCALZ (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) — TNA World Tag Team Title match

Nathan Frazier and Axiom’s music played, and they took a seat at ringside. Fans chanted “Holy s***!” Matt and Trey started the match. The Hardys had the upper hand at the start. The Rascalz used teamwork on Jeff. Matt gave Wentz a Side Effect on the floor. The Rascalz used teamwork to turn the tide. Matt had words with Frazier and Axiom. Matt sidestepped a Trey dive, and Trey accidentally dove onto Frazier. Referees escorted Frazier and Axiom to the back.

Back in the ring, Jeff suplexed Trey. The Rascalz double teamed Jeff. Jeff gave Trey a Twist of Fate for a two count. Matt sent Wentz out of the ring. Matt gave Trey a Twist of Fate. Jeff hit the Swanton Bomb on Trey and got the pin. Good action and the fans were into it throughout. Fun surprise cameo with Frazier and Axiom.

WINNERS: Jeff & Matt Hardy to retain the TNA Tag Team Titles.

-Video feature on Chris Bey. It promoted his Go Fund Me.

-Hannifan announced that Frazier and Axiom would take on the Rascalz on this Thursday’s live Impact.

(7) MASHA SLAMOVICH (c) vs. ROSEMARY —TNA Knockouts Title match

This was a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match (the first ever all-Knockouts version). Weapons surrounded the ring. Masha hit Rosemary with a metal trash can lid. Masha used a staple gun on Rosemary’s hand and armpit. Masha hit Rosemary with a cane. Rosemary spit green mist into Masha’s eyes. Masha splashed Rosemary through a table at ringside and choked her with a chain.

Rosemary avoided a senton on the floor from Masha. Rosemary brought out “Janice” (the barbed wire board that Abyss would carry in TNA). Rosemary attacked Masha with Janice. Rosemary poured tacks on the stage. Rosemary gave Masha a spear on the tacks. Back in the ring, Masha gave Rosemary a Snow Plow on a barbed wire board. Rosemary pushed Masha off a ladder and through a table at ringside. Masha gave Rosemary a piledriver off the ropes, through several chairs, and got the pin.

WINNER: Masha Slamovich in 14:00.

After the match, Cora Jade from NXT walked to the ring. Masha and Cora went face to face.

-As the weapons were being cleaned up, Santino Marella went to the stage and asked Gia Miller and the Busted Open Radio crew (Dave LeGreca, Mark Henry, and Tommy Dreamer) who they picked to win the main event. Ryan Nemeth interrupted Tommy Dreamer to say that his brother would not be happy about this and didn’t care what they thought. Ryan predicted that Nic Nemeth would win. Santino banned Ryan from ringside, to the cheers of the crowd. Security made Ryan leave.

(8) NIC NEMETH (c) vs. JOE HENDRY — TNA World Title match

McKenzie Mitchell did the in-ring introductions. Both wrestlers received good reactions during their entrances. After a few minutes of action, Ryan Nemeth held up a ticket that he used to get back in the arena. Nic went on offense. Hendry gave Nemeth a cutter. Nemeth escaped a Standing Ovation. Hendry powerbombed Nemeth for a two count. Hendry caught Nemeth after a crossbody attempt, but Nemeth turned it into a Famouser for a two count.

Hendry gave Nemeth a fall-away slam from the ropes. Frankie Kazarian came to ringside with his trophy. John Layfield came out of the crowd and clotheslined Frankie. Fans cheered. Layfied decked Ryan Nemeth, then left. Fans chanted “This is awesome!” Hendry gave Nemeth a Standing Ovation, but he kicked out of the pin attempt. Fans chanted “One more time!” Nemeth escaped a Standing Ovation and landed a superkick and the Danger Zone, but Hendy kicked out of the pin attempt. Hendry gave Nemeth an overhead slam and followed with the Standing Ovation for the pin.

WINNER: Joe Hendry in 20:00 to win the TNA World Title.

Hendry hugged his parents at ringside as fans cheered. Hendry went in the crowd to celebrate.
