[HOUR ONE]
– The show opened with Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore running down tonight’s match card and introducing the first match.
– A video package was shown, recapping the rivalry between The Wyatt Sicks and American Made was shown.
(1) THE WYATT SICKS (Erick Rowan & Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy & Nikki Cross) vs. AMERICAN MADE (Chad Gable & Julius Creed & Brutus Creed & Nikki Cross) – Street Fight
Cross immediately jumped at Nile, as everyone else started brawling around the ring. Cross dropped Nile with a DDT on the floor before putting a trash can on her head and pummeling it down with a kendo stick. Rowan dropped Gable onto the apron while Cross hit Nile with a dropkick into the barricade. Gacy hit Brutus with a suplex on the apron while Lumis planted Gable with a powerslam. Nile swept Cross off the apron and dropped her onto it. Rowan blocked a double suplex from the Creeds and put them down with a double suplex of his own. Rowan set up a table at ringside, but couldn’t put Gable through it.
Nile blinded Rowan with a fire extinguisher, allowing the Creeds to put him through the table with a double spinebuster and bury him underneath a bunch of plunder. Gable and Julius blasted Lumis down with kendo sticks, only for Lumis to retaliate with a back suplex and a senton. Gacy caught the Creeds with a double Upside Down lariat while Lumis set up a table at ringside. Julius blasted Gacy with a chair shot to the back, followed by a load of kendo stick shots to the head with a trash can. Cross attacked Nile with a series of kendo sticks before sending her over the announce table with a crossbody. The Creeds set up a table at ringside, only for Rowan to get up and clobber them with a piece of the barricade.
Back in the ring, Rowan nailed Brutus with a dropkick and took Julius out with a leg lariat. Rowan planted Brutus with a chokeslam, but Gable managed to break the pinfall. Gable tripped Rowna into a chair, allowing the Creeds to clothesline him out of the ring. Gable dropped Rowan with a German suplex on the apron, followed by a Brutus Bomb and a steel steps shot from Julius. Gacy and Lumis took the Creeds down with a suicide dive and a cannonball before laying them out with stereo chokeslams. Lumis powerbombed Gacy onto Brutus before putting Julius through a table with a diving leg drop.
Gacy nailed Gable with a lariat, only for Gable to put him through another table with an avalanche Olympic Slam. Gable put Gacy in an Ankle Lock while Nile pummeled him with kendo sticks. Cross pulled Nile off the apron and took care of Gable with a German suplex. Cross hit Nile with a swinging neckbreaker onto a chair while Gable stared at Uncle Howdy on the ramp. Rowan took Gable out with a running crossbody and a chokeslam on the steel steps. Back in the ring, Howdy hit Gable with Sister Abigail, setting him up for Lumis’ Frog Splash and the win.
WINNERS: The Wyatt Sicks at 17:03
(Pomares’s Analysis: A really fun and chaotic opening match with Rowan, Lumis and Gable as the standout performers. Hopefully this marks the end of this feud which while fun has been incredibly one-sided and has kind of undermined the recently formed American Made while taking focus away from the Alpha Academy storyline.)
– A recap of Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan’s interactions from last week was shown. It was officially confirmed that they would face off in a title match at Bad Blood.
– Finn Bálor made his way to the ring to complain about Damian Priest holding him down. Finn said that he had Priest’s back and he would have been champion a long time ago, if it wasn’t for Priest. He said that Priest should stop hiding in the back, so he could speak face to face with him. Priest said that he would let him speak and then beat him down. Finn called Priest out for turning him into a sidekick and announced that they would face off at Bad Blood.
– Finn warned Priest about the Judgment Day playbook, only for Priest to clobber him with a mic. The rest of the Judgment Day showed up and overpowered Priest, until Rhea Ripley showed up with a crutch. Ripley caught Liv Morgan with her crutch and smashed it on Dominik’s back. Liv caught Ripley with a chop block and pummeled her damaged leg with numerous crutch shots. Priest tried to protect Ripley, only for Judgment to beat him down with a load of crutch shots. Jey Uso ran down with a chair to save Priest from a Coup de Grace.
(Pomares’s Analysis: A solid angle to continue this feud, set up the matches for Badd Blood and make Judgment Day look strong after weeks of looking weak.)
– A recap of Bronson Reed crushing Braun Strowman with a Tsunami on a car two weeks ago and winning a qualifying match last week was shown.
– Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviewed Braun Strowman about his status after the past two weeks. Strowman said that he wasn’t at 100%, but a wounded monster was even more dangerous. Bron Breakker showed up to tell Strowman that he was indeed a monster, but he was only standing because they hadn’t faced off yet.
– A recap of the Unholy Union defeating Damage CTRL last week was shown.
(2) BIANCA BELAIR & JADE CARGILL vs. UNHOLY UNION (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Belair knocked Fyre down with a shoulder tackle and dropped her with a bodyslam. Belair and Jade nailed Dawn with a double shoulder tackle and clotheslined Fyre out of the ring. Jade planted Dawn and Fyre with bodyslams, but missed a corner elbow strike. Jade hit Dawn with an atomic drop, only for Fyre and Dawn to shut her down with a chop block and a thrust kick. Belair got the hot tag to put Dawn down with a pair of dropkicks, followed by a delayed vertical suplex on Fyre.
Belair pummeled Dawn down and crushed her and Fyre down with a high crossbody, followed by a handspring moonsault. Fyre tagged herself in to save Dawn from the KOD. Dawn saved Fyre from a superplex, setting Belair up for a double powerbomb. Jade saved Belair from a double suplex, only for Fyre to blast her with a thrust kick. Fyre and Dawn put Belair down with the Gory Bomb and flatliner combination, but Jade broke the pinfall. Belair drove Dawn into the ring post, reaching Jade for the hot tag. Jade blasted Fyre with a pump kick before she and Belair finished her with the DDT and German suplex combination.
WINNERS: Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill at 8:13 (Sttil WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions)
(Pomares’s Analysis: A decent little match to give Bianca and Jade a spot on this special episode of Raw. The Unholy Union had no real shot of winning and felt like a placeholder team before Damage CTRL likely enters the title picture.)
– Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviewed Dragon Lee about his match against Dominik Mysterio. Lee said that he had LWO keeping his back, only for Judgment Day to interrupt. Rey Mysterio called Finn Bálor out for his attack and challenged him to a match tonight.
[Commercial Break]
[HOUR TWO]
– Joe Tessitore introduced Bret Hart to the ring to thunderous cheers from the Calgary crowd. Joe announced that this year’s Survivor Series would take place in Canada. Bret talked about being proud of being a Canadian champion, only for Gunther to interrupt. Gunther said that Bret was genuinely the best there was, but now he was the best there is and the best there will ever be. Gunther said that Bret would always be a second favorite of his, only behind Bill Goldberg.
– Sami Zayn interrupted to call Gunther out for making jokes about Bret. Sami said that Bret set the tone for what it meant to be a champion before pointing out that Gunther ran away. He told Gunther to prove that he was the best there is and face him in a rematch. Gunther told Bret that he wasn’t in his league and that Sami wasn’t either before once again declining the challenge. Gunther started walking away, only for Bret to call him a coward. Sami and Gunther faced off at ringside and started brawling, until a couple of referees separated them. Gunther retreated while Sami stood tall alongside Bret.
(Pomares’s Analysis: A solid segment to get the Canadian crowd excited and continue this rivalry. I was surprised they didn’t take advantage of the hot crowd to make the match official which makes me think there is a chance the match doesn’t take place at Bad Blood.)
– Backstage, Bron Breakker met Pete Dunne to mock him for his previous name. Dunne told Breakker that he would win tonight and tomorrow before coming for the Intercontinental title and NXT title. Breakker mocked Dunne’s mannerisms before walking away. Sheamus showed up to blast Dunne with a pump kick, only for a bunch of referees and agents to separate them.
– Dominik Mysterio made his way to the ring, ahead of his match against Dragon Lee.
[Commercial Break]
(3) DOMINIK MYSTERIO (w/Finn Bálor & JD McDonagh & Carlito & Liv Morgan) vs. DRAGON LEE (w/Rey Mysterio & Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro)
Dominik cornered Lee, only for Lee to tackle him down and put him in a leg lock. Dominik kicked Lee away, but Lee shut him down with a rolling senton. Lee went for a high crossbody before receiving a dropkick mid-air. Dominik posed atop the turnbuckle, as WWE Raw went to commercials.
[Commercial Break]
Back from break, Lee knocked Dominik down with a headscissors takeover, followed by a slingshot dropkick and a basement dropkick for a two count. Dominik withstood a strike to the face and planted Lee with a Michinoku Driver. Lee planted Dominik with a roll-up into a powerbomb for another two count. Lee knocked Dominik away with an enzuigiri before crushing him with a diving double stomp, only for JD to put his boot on the ropes. LWO and Judgment Day started brawling at ringside, until Wilde took everyone down with a cannonball. Everyone was ejected from ringside, only for the distraction to allow Liv to hit Lee with a chop block. Dominik immediately finished Lee with a 619 and a Frog Splash.
WINNER: Dominik Mysterio at 8:14
(Pomares’s Analysis: Decent match to continue giving Judgment Day shine after the segment from earlier tonight. It was nice to see Dragon Lee once again get some TV and hopefully the LWO won’t fade away from TV soon after this.)
– Backstage, Damage CTRL warned Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill to not get used to having the tag titles.
– The Pure Fusion Collective made their way to the ring, ahead of their match against Zelina Vega and Lyra Valkyria.
– The commentary paid respect to Calgarian hockey players Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau who were recently killed by a drunk driver and had makeshift memorials outside the arena.
[Commercial Break]
– Sonya Deville interrupted Lyra Valkyria’s entrance to mock whoever their mystery partner was. A returning Natalya was revealed as Lyra and Zelina Vega’s partner.
(4) ZELINA VEGA & LYRA VALKYRIA & NATALYA vs. PURE FUSION COLLECTIVE (Sonya Deville & Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark)
Vega knocked Stark down with a headscissors takeover, only for Deville to low-bridge her. Baszler nailed Vega with a kick to the face, followed by a plancha from Stark, as WWE Raw went to an ad break.
[Commercial Break]
Back from break, Vega drove Baszler into the LED board on the apron, reaching Natalya for the hot tag. Natalya nailed Stark and Deville with forearm strikes, but couldn’t put Stark in a Sharpshooter. Lyra and Vega took Baszler and Deville out with a dropkick through the ropes and a Meteora off the apron. Natalya, Lyra and Vega forced PFC to tap out with stereo Sharpshooters.
WINNERS: Zelina Vega, Lyra Valkyria & Natalya at 6:52
(Pomares’s Analysis: It’s cool to see Natalya back in Canada and the match was fine while it lasted. However, this was yet another example of this undercard women’s feud not getting much time on TV.)
[Commercial Break]
– Backstage, Bret Hart congratulated Natalya for her return.
[HOUR THREE]
– Drew McIntyre made his way to the ring to say that people chanting CM Punk was now in his memory. Drew recapped his story with Punk and said that Punk touching the corners faster than him didn’t finish their story. He said that he can live with the fact that he made Punk a bigger star because he ended his career. Drew said that it was time to focus on the future, pointing out how he would be a part of his first Hollywood movie later this week.
– Drew said that he had unfinished business and pointed at Wade Barrett. He recapped their time together before calling him out for getting in his way. Drew said that he was disappointed in him and that if it happened again, he would do something about it. Adam Pearce interrupted to tell Drew that he spoke with Punk and he wasn’t done with him. Pearce confirmed that this was going to be over when they faced off at Bad Blood in a Hell in a Cell match.
(Pomares’s Analysis: Fine segment with a really interesting bit between Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett. Not the biggest fan of the huge Hell in a Cell announcement to be made without both Punk in attendance.)
– Backstage, Karrion Kross tried to convince The Miz that he was in a rut. Xavier Woods told Kross to get away and warned Miz to not listen to him. Miz said that he knew what Kross was doing, but he was right about his career before walking away. Kofi Kingston showed up to inform Woods that he got a tag title match.
– Rey Mysterio made his way to the ring, ahead of his match against Finn Bálor.
[Commercial Break]
(5) FINN BÁLOR vs. REY MYSTERIO
Finn knocked Rey down with an elbow strike and stomped him down in the corner. Finn attacked Rey with a load of shoulder thrusts, only for Rey to respond with a headscissors takeover and a plancha, as WWE Raw went to a commercial break.
[Commercial Break]
Back from break, Finn put Rey in a headlock, until Rey nailed him with an enzuigiri and crushed him with a sliding splash. Rey crushed Finn with a springboard crossbody, followed by a 619 to the abdomen. Finn blocked another 619 and catapulted Rey into the ropes. Finn put Rey in a half Boston Crab using the ropes, until he was disqualified.
WINNER: Rey Mysterio at 8:03 via Disqualification
– After the match, Finn Bálor blasted Rey Mysterio with a shotgun dropkick into the ring post. Before Rey could react, Finn ran past the referees and hit him with a shotgun dropkick into the LED board on the apron.
(Pomares’s Analysis: I get what they were going for with this result, but I really would have preferred to see Finn win cleanly and then do a post-match assault. Also, between Ludwig Kaiser, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and now Finn Bálor, I think they are overusing the spot of a wrestler walking away from a beatdown, only to walk past the referees and continue the assault.)
– Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviewed Ilja Dragunov about his match tonight. Dragunov said that he had unfinished business with Bron Breakker, only for Breakker to show up and say that he already beat him. Jey Uso walked by and stared at Breakker before making his way to the ring.
[Commercial Break]
– A video package was shown where
– It was announced that Judgment Day would face the New Day in a title match; and CM Punk would return next week.
(6) JEY USO vs. ILJA DRAGUNOV vs. PETE DUNNE vs. BRAUN STROWMAN – WWE Intercontinental Championship Contender’s Match
Strowman threw Dunne out of the ring, but missed a tackle into the barricade. Jey crushed Strowman with a plancha while Dragunov laid Dunne out with a German suplex and a running boot to the face. Jey nailed Dragunov with an enzuigiri, only for Dunne to launch him out of the ring. Strowman lifted Dunne, but Dunne got away by applying joint manipulation on him. Strowman dumped Dunne on top of Jey and Dragunov, as WWE Raw went to commercials.
[Commercial Break]
Back from break, Strowman shoved everyone away, only for Dunne to nail him with a kick to the abdomen. Strowman missed a shoulder thrust into the ring post and crashed to ringside. Jey low-bridged Dragunov and caught Dunne with a strike to the chest and an enzuigiri. Dunne put Jey in an arm bar, until Strowman grabbed him by the throat. Dragunov took Strowman out with a missile dropkick, followed by a Dunne’s plancha and Jey’s superkick.
Everyone rammed Strowman into the steel steps before Dunne smashed Jey’s head into the ring post. Back in the ring, Dunne dropped Dragunov with an Xplex for a close two count. Dragunov cracked Dunne with an enzuigiri and tried to go for Coast-to-Coast, only for Jey to blast him with a superkick, as WWE Raw went to its final commercial break.
[Commercial Break]
Back from break, Dragunov avoided an enzuigiri and blasted Jey with a series of chops and the Constantine Line. Dunne snapped Dragunov’s fingers, only for Strowman to shove him off the top turnbuckle. Strowman hit Jey and Dragunov with a shoulder tackle and a big boot, followed by a series of corner splashes. Strowman knocked all of his opponents down with shoulder tackles, only for Bronson Reed to make a shocking appearance and put him through the announce table with a splash.
Dragunov attacked Jey with a bunch of chops, only for Jey to shut him down with a Spear. Dunne threw Jey out of the ring and pinned Dragunov, but he kicked out at two. Dunne attacked Dragunov with a bunch of kicks and forearms to the head. Dragunov blocked the Bitter End and dropped Dunne with a powerbomb, setting him up for the H-Bomb. Jey broke the pinfall with a superkick and finished Dunne with an Uso Splash.
WINNER: Jey Uso at 19:54
(Pomares’s Analysis: A really good main event to finally establish a new contender to Breakker’s title. Last week, they made it very clear that Jey was the favorite, so I really liked how Breakker interacted with everyone to make the result more of a toss-up. Jey should make for a decent contender to Breakker’s title, though I’m slightly surprised by the fact he’s likely losing another title match. Additionally, Bronson Reed’s interference was really well-executed, already setting up what should be a fun hoss fight.)
