Despite this year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony being in Dallas, WWE has decided not to have Kevin Von Erich induct the Fabulous Freebirds into the 2016 HOF class.
Instead, WWE announced that trios WWE tag champions New Day will induct The Freebirds (represented by Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin).
Kevin Von Erich noted on Twitter that he doesn’t mind the decision because it’s about The Freebirds.

This is freaking stupid. The New Day had so many great matches and worked a lot of classic angles with the freebirds in WCCW. Are you kidding me? Will this get the New Day over as faces?
It’s usually the HOF inductee who gets to pick who inducts them. Michael Hayes is a fan of New Day, probably why he picked them.
