Harwood vs. Wheeler was an idea that FTR had and got the match cleared by Tony Khan. In a recent interview, the team said that even though they are wrestling in this tournament, they won’t be doing any all out feuds between one another anytime soon. Harwood and Wheeler are the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions. They won the belts at Supercard of Honor in early April by defeating The Briscoes.
In addition to Harwood vs. Wheeler, this week’s Dynamite will also feature Scorpio Sky vs. Sammy Guevara in a Ladder Match for the TNT Championship, Serena Deeb vs. Hikaru Shida in a Philly Street Fight, and a ten-man tag team match between The Undisputed Elite and the team of The Varsity Blonds & Dante Martin & Lee Johnson & Brock Anderson. Lance Archer vs. Wardlow will also take place on the show.
Last week on Dynamite, C.M. Punk and “Hangman” Adam Page had an impromptu face-off on the stage as Punk walked from the ring after defeating Dustin Rhodes. Punk has alluded to be Page’s next challenger as the AEW World Champion.
