W. Morrissey, formerly known as Big Cass in WWE, made his AEW debut this week on AEW Dynamite.

After a week full of teases, MJF revealed Morrissey as his mystery opponent for Wardlow. Wardlow entered the Baltimore arena first to a loud chorus of “Wardlow” chants and cheers from the audience. As soon as he got into the ring, MJF walked onto the stage and announced Morrissey as the special opponent. Wardlow battled with Morrissey in an out of the ring with the audience chanting “we want Enzo” multiple times. Morrissey responded to the chant by mocking Enzo’s dance and the flipping off the audience.

Wardlow eventually got the upper hand on Morrissey and connected with a power bomb before making the cover for the victory. After the match, Morrissey rolled out of the ring, but security entered it to try and remove Wardlow. Wardlow fought them all off and then stared down MJF.

From there, MJF and Wardlow agreed to a match. MJF said that if Wardlow beats him, he would let him out of his binding contract. In return, MJF said he had some stipulations that he would reveal on next week’s Dynamite during a contract signing.

Wardlow and MJF have been feuding since AEW Revolution in March. Wardlow cost MJF his match against C.M. Punk and MJF returned the favor the following week and cost Wardlow the TNT Championship.
