SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...
Becky Lynch will return to WWE on Monday’s episode of Raw.
During this week’s Smackdown, WWE ran a promotional spot that revealed the news. Lynch has not been on WWE television since losing the WWE Raw Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38.
Monday’s episode of Raw will also feature Belair defending her championship against Sonya Deville. Two weeks ago, Deville declared that she was next in line for Belair’s title. Belair tried to have the match last week on the show, but Deville declined and scheduled the match for Monday. Belair attempted a KOD on Deville, but stopped short of delivering it due to Deville being a WWE official.
Becky Lynch had been champion since Summerslam. She beat Belair for the title in 26 seconds — her first match since leaving the company to have a baby. Lynch vacated the championship when she left the company and had not been beating in three years until Belair pinned her at WrestleMania.
Lynch won the first ever women’s main event of WrestleMania at WrestleMania 35. She defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win the Raw Women’s Championship and Smackdown Women’s Championship.
